I am an Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies at Georgetown University. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Oklahoma (2023-2024) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Washington & Lee University (2022-2023). I hold a BA and MA in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, and an MA and PhD in Hispanic Studies from Brown University. From 2016 to 2017, I completed a Princeton in Latin America Fellowship in Quito, Ecuador working with the Centro Integral de Niñez y Adolescencia (CENIT).
My research primarily focuses on contemporary literature, film, and cultural production from the Andes that address questions of race, indigeneity, political violence, and migration. This being said, I consider myself a comparativist who enjoys working across national contexts, including Chile, Cuba, Mexico, and the United States. I have published and forthcoming articles in MLN, Hispanic Review, Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, and the Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, among other venues.
